TravellersTM was developed, piloted and evaluated under contract for the Ministry of Health by Skylight - a New Zealand based national not-for-profit organisation that supports children, young people and their families through change, loss and grief - in partnership with the University of Auckland's Injury Prevention Research Centre.
The programme is now in its tenth year, after three years of trialling, evaluation and a further two years of wider implementation in Auckland and Northland schools. The programme is currently being rolled out to secondary schools throughout New Zealand.
